How often should I have my plumbing inspected?
Regular plumbing inspections can help identify potential issues before they become major problems, saving you time and money in the long run. As a general rule, it’s recommended that you have your plumbing system inspected by a licensed plumber at least once a year.
During a plumbing inspection, a licensed plumber will check all of your plumbing fixtures and appliances, including sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, and washing machines. They will also inspect your pipes for signs of damage or corrosion, check for leaks or clogs, and evaluate your water pressure and water quality. If any issues are identified, the plumber can provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
In addition to annual inspections, it’s a good idea to have your plumbing system inspected if you are purchasing a new home, if you are experiencing any unusual plumbing issues, or if your home is more than 50 years old. By being proactive about plumbing maintenance and repairs, you can avoid costly and inconvenient plumbing emergencies.
